The news of this brand new tour has just hit the tabloids and everyone has been trying to secure themselves tickets to Brett Goldstein’s “Second Best Night of Your Life” tour. Brett Goldstein is a two-time Emmy Award winning actor and comedian who has built a name for himself as one of the most outstanding comedians of this generation. His natural charisma and macho charm just draws everyone in! Listen up, you need to secure your tickets right now because the capacity is very limited and you don’t want to miss this show!

Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent? Absolutely phenomenal. The British actor, comedian, and writer fulfills his role in Ted Lasso so effectively that it’s hard to think of him outside of his character. Goldstein admits that after writing the first season of Ted Lasso, he felt a kinship towards the character and decided to audition for the role.

“I felt him,” Goldstein says of the gruff, aging footballer. “It was partly that I felt like I understood him. I won’t name them, but we have family friends who are professional footballers, so I grew up around these types. I was around when they retired, and I know how difficult that transition is. How football is your life and then suddenly it isn’t — and you have no training for the real world or normal life. There’s a real sort of tragedy to that. No one wants to stop playing football — it’s just that your body can’t. That’s tragic.”

For Goldstein, who has worked as a writer, stand-up comedian, actor, and producer of TV shows for many years, the role had been transforming. It earned the actor an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” twice in a row for the show’s first two seasons. Roy Kent quickly became a fan favorite thanks to Goldstein's portrayal of the character as a tightly wound man with a lot of internal turmoil who takes no shit but loves the game, adores his young niece, is in a stable-ish relationship with the team's marketing manager Keeley Jones (played by Juno Temple), and, as Season Two progresses, is starting to coach.

Following the success of the television series, Goldstein has built a solid fanbase who adore him and his art. Of course, the actor wouldn’t stay true to himself if he stopped pursuing his dreams of becoming an entertainer. And so, Goldstein just announced that he is beginning his first-ever stand-up comedy tour this fall! “Second Best Night of Your Life” Tour will most likely be the best night of your life, so stay tuned! He’s stopping at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington on Friday, the 17th of November, 2023. Be sure to grab your tickets before it’s too late!
